Flexibility is built into CloudGate’s design. CloudGate’s extensive range of tools for developers puts the power in your hands to adapt and tailor CloudGate to your specific solution while benefiting from a secure, stable and reliable gateway platform.

The CloudGate Breadboard Card and Development Card allow you to quickly develop and prototype your solution. The Breadboard Card provides an ‘in form factor’ solution for small prototype runs while the Development card allows quick software prototyping with CloudGate’s multiple different interfaces.

• Extended format card with headers for all interfaces
• Includes headers for access to USB, USB on the go, RS-232, I2C, SPI/SD and GPIO lines.
• On board temperature sensor, relay, SD card slot and RS232 serial port

Software Development Kit

The CloudGate software development kit is available free of charge via CloudGate Universe at cloudgate.option.com. The software development kit includes a full toolchain that allows native applications to be built for CloudGate along with an extensive API that gives access to all the device management, provisioning and networking functions of the CloudGate.

Since CloudGate is based on the open source routing platform OpenWrt many open source packages are already available for CloudGate and can be quickly and simply built with your software. The CloudGate SDK build system produces signed CloudGate software image files that can be provisioned locally or via CloudGate Universe.

Breadboard card for hardware developer

• Ideal for prototyping your own expansion card
• Fits in the front expansion slot of the CloudGate
• Supports 3 types of connections:
  – All signals on the back connector can be tapped off on breadboard area near this connector
  – 2.54mm pitch components can be soldered on main breadboard area
  – 3.5mm pitch connectors can be soldered on front two rows to provide a more reliable and longterm connection
• Adapter boards are available online to integrate fine-pitch components

Hardware Development Kit

The CloudGate hardware developer’s kit includes all the schematics and specifications necessary for you to build your own CloudGate accessory card. By building your own card you can tailor CloudGate to the specifics of your solution. Option actively markets our partner solutions to our customers worldwide.
